This year is promise to be lush for interesting events in tech world all around the US and probably you’ve already registered for AppsWorld, SXSW, TechCrunch Disrupt and other global conferences. Working in SF we’ve created a list of local tech events that we consider to be worth visiting.
So choose those you like the most & will meet there!
Mobile+Web DevCon (January 28-30, Marine’s memorial club & Hotel)
During these three days you will test new development tools, learn useful tips from speakers’ success stories, become first to know the upcoming trends in mobile development & design. You’ll listen to speakers from Pinterest, Twitter, Amazon, Adobe and other industry leaders.
Apps World (February 5-6, Moscone Center West)
This year Apps World promise to be even more exciting: 300+ speakers, 8 000+ visitors. The event will also include 5 free to attend developer workshop tracks and a free exhibition with over 250 exhibitors.
DeveloperWeek 2014 Conference & Expo (February 15-21)
More than 250 speakers from Microsoft, Evernote, Import.io, Splunk, Zoosk and others. Within one week you will learn to build new apps, startups, and product features. Taking part in such activities like hackaton, scholarships & product challenges you can win prizes from the $100,000 in cash.
7th Annual Crunchies Awards (February 20, Davies Symphony Hall)
Crunchies will award all the best startups, internet and technology innovations from all over the planet. More than 20 categories, with 5 nominees in each one. This year will be introduced the new category “Best Health Startup”.
Launch Festival (February 24-26, Design Centre Concourse)
40 companies will launch for the first time or launch new products and compete for titles like Best Design, Best Technology and Best Overall with 8,000 attendees.
Game Developers Conference (March 17 -21, Moscone Center)
The GDC attracts over 23,000 attendees. For five days of sessions, tutorials, bootcamps, and roundtable discussions on a comprehensive selection of game development topics taught by leading industry experts.
Macworld/iWorld (March 27-29, Moscone North)
Organizers promise over 50 hours of trainings, tech talks & product discoveries. Among speakers will be such stars like Robert Scoble & Shel Israel. Between trainings find time to visit ExpoHall with more than hundred exhibitors showcasing the latest hardware, software & accessories for Mac, iPhone, iPad & iPod.
SF MusicTech Summit XV (May 20, Hotel Kabuki)
Mix of music, business & technology that will bring developers, entrepreneurs, musicians & journalist in one place at the same time for setting future trends. Kathy Baker (Sony Music Entertainment), Michelle Engel (Samsung Electronics), Chris Martin (Vevo) and many others will share their knowledges on May 20.
MIT Technology Review Digital Summit (June 9 – 10, St. Regis Hotel)
Examine tomorrow’s digital technologies and explains their global impact on both business and society. Featured topics include Digital Privacy, The Internet of Things, The Disappearing Interface.
Leading experience designers, technology innovators, and designer founders are gonna share the hottest topics about design. Remembering the last year roadmap should say that there were a lot of amazing speakers including Jack Dorsey (Square), John Maeda (RISD), Tony Fadel (Nest Labs) and Franz Von Holzhausen (Tesla Motors). Hope this year we’ll be inspired by even more great presenters!
